About the author:

Dagrunn Nåden Dyrstad, Associate professor, has been a PhD student at the University of Stavanger since 01.01.12 working on the project “Quality assurance and safety in transferral of the elderly”. She is a trained intensive care nurse and has worked at Stavanger University Hospital since 1982, the last twenty years in the intensive care unit (with exception of a few breaks). She has been temporarily employed at the University of Stavanger for 4 years, for the most part in further education in intensive care nursing, and on the nursing bachelor focusing on simulation work. She has been employed 1 year to write a report about how to increase simulation activities at SAFER in the bachelor education in nursing at UIS. She has practical pedagogic education (PPU) and tutor training at UIS. Dyrstad has been employed as a project co-worker for the National Centre for Home Repiratory Care from 2002 until 2011 with specific focus on users with 24 hr care and tracheostomy requirements, and she has published an article based on the master thesis “Users of home respiratory apparatus and complicity”.
